How to check Bandwidth speed?

We recommend to download files from ubuntu or similar server. download speed will be shown as x MB/s. multiply x with 8 result is your IBW speed.

Example: download speed is showing 512 KB/s, so bandwidth speed is 512*8=4096 Kbps = 4 Mbps.

Note: KB = kilo Byte, Kb = kilo bit. Internet speed is measured in bit per second. (Kbps,Mbps,etc.). and download speed is shown as byte per second.
